About the Role
Work4u is looking for an experienced Senior Road Freight Operator on behaf of our client and a well known company in international transportation and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Full operational management of specific markets/countries, with responsibility for smooth operations and customer service excellence.
- Guidance and daily supervision of the operators’ team, contributing to the effective organization and seamless operation of the department.
- Plan and optimize transportation routes in collaboration with drivers and external partners.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and strategic business partners.
- Ensure compliance with applicable transportation legislation, industry regulations, and internal company procedures.
- Verify the accuracy of transportation documentation and ensure the timely completion of all administrative processes.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Finance departments to ensure smooth transportation operations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and support the implementation of new tools and best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in transportation, logistics, or operations.
- Good command of the English language (written and spoken).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with transport management systems is considered an asset.
