Job Description :
The Sr. Scrum Master will be responsible for making sure everyone on the team understands the project’s goals and scope with guidance from the Application Owner, the head of Engineering, the head of release management and ELT if applicable. The Sr. Scrum Master helps the product owner maintain the product backlog, facilitating scrum events (standups, meetings etc) as needed. This role must have knowledge in all stages of software development in an agile environment. This role requires collaboration with other leaders, developers, business analysts, and possibly external vendors. This role is expected to guide the team to follow workflow process, encouraging the organization to adopt the needed scrum methodology in their workflow, and ensuring all statuses/fields required by the team in Jira are up to date and accurate.
Responsibilities
· Ensure everyone on the team knows how to follow and use the JIRA workflow.
· Full understanding of the development and QC environments to help guide team to use the proper environment.
· Facilitating scrum events (daily standups, updating the Jira board, driving story point discussion for the boards the SCA is responsible for).
· Coaching the Dev and QC teams in self-organization and ensuring they are making necessary updates in JIRA.
· Assisting removing obstacles to developers’ progress and escalating appropriately to Dev leadership.
· Encouraging the organization to adopt the scrum methodology in their workflow.
· Coaching the organization on the transitions to a working scrum framework.
· Keeping leadership (Dev Scrum Manager, Dev Leaders, Application Owners) up to date on progress of the scrum team’s projects.
Qualifications
· 7 to 9 years of proven experience either as a Scrum Master or Full Stack Software Developer + strong experience with JIRA.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
· Attention to detail and ability to understand workflow.
· Understanding of network, cloud-based technology and database experience is a plus.
· Understanding of the eDiscovery industry is a plus.
· Willingness and ability to learn and be coached quickly.
Other Requirements:
· Experience in eDiscovery not required but preferred.
Work mode : Hybrid(3 days WFO,2 days WFH per week)
Shift timings : 7 PM to 4 AM
Job location : Bangalore
