Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Snowflake Engineer with strong expertise in snowflake,  Python development, SQL, and data engineering principles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications, APIs, and data processing solutions. The role requires hands-on coding, database optimization, data pipeline development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Snowflake, DBT, and Airflow.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Perform data ingestion, transformation, validation, and quality checks.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure data accuracy, reliability, and performance.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and Agile practices.
• Contribute to technical design, automation, and continuous improvement of data engineering processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance where required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on expertise in snowflake, Python.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience building backend applications, APIs, and data-driven solutions.
• Experience with Snowflake, DBT, and Apache Airflow.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and data processing workflows.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, or similar.
• Experience with Git version control and collaborative development practices.
• Good understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, and software deployment processes.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to modern data warehouse and analytics platforms.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks.
