What We Offer

Nasdaq Trade Surveillance, part of Nasdaq's Financial Technology business, is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager / Business Analyst to join our Feeds team. This role is suited to an experienced trading-technology professional who can engage directly with customers, trading venues and market-data vendors, understand complex requirements, shape effective solutions and coordinate delivery with internal teams.

You will combine business analysis, technical problem-solving and project delivery. You will take ownership of work from initial discovery and issue analysis through requirements definition, solution design, implementation and production deployment.

You can expect an autonomous, fast-paced and globally connected environment where results, sound judgement and the ability to move work forward are recognised. Nasdaq offers a competitive salary package, private health insurance, an employee stock purchase plan, paid annual and parental leave, and other benefits.

What You Will Do

  • External stakeholder engagement: Work directly with customers, trading venues and market-data vendors to understand business needs, technical specifications, operational constraints and delivery expectations.

  • Requirements analysis: Elicit, analyse, document and validate clear business, functional and technical requirements for trading-data and connectivity initiatives.

  • Solution design: Apply trading-domain and technical expertise to assess options, define practical solutions and ensure requirements are traceable through design, build and test.

  • End-to-end delivery: Work with internal teams to develop and coordinate delivery plans, manage dependencies, risks, issues and decisions, and drive assigned initiatives through implementation and production release.

  • Technical investigation: Analyse and troubleshoot trading-data, protocol and connectivity issues, identify root causes and work with engineering teams to implement sustainable resolutions.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with business analysts, developers, quality assurance, operations and support teams to deliver solutions that are technically sound and operationally ready.

  • Stakeholder communication: Translate complex technical information into clear updates, recommendations and decisions for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Production readiness: Support testing, release planning, implementation and post-deployment validation to confirm that delivered outcomes meet agreed requirements.

What We Expect

  • Industry experience: At least 6 years of commercial experience in trading technology, including at least four years designing or implementing pre-trade or post-trade data solutions.

  • Trading technology knowledge: Strong understanding of securities trading workflows, brokerage environments, market data and trading protocols such as FIX, OMnet, ITCH or OUCH.

  • Business analysis: Demonstrated ability to engage external stakeholders, clarify complex requirements, produce high-quality specifications and convert business needs into implementable technical outcomes.

  • Project delivery: Proven ability to take ownership from discovery and solution definition through build, testing, release and production deployment, while managing multiple deliverables.

  • Technical capability: Hands-on experience with application-component implementation and commercial experience working in Linux or Unix environments, including scripting.

  • Version control: Proficiency with Git.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management and facilitation skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Organisation: Strong planning, prioritisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain delivery momentum.

  • Global collaboration: Experience working effectively across globally distributed teams and time zones.

What Would Be Helpful

  • Knowledge of fixed-income and over-the-counter markets.

  • Experience in trade-surveillance, regulatory technology or market-data platforms.

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and tools used to manage requirements, delivery and defects.
