Role Overview

MeDirect is seeking a motivated and investment-focused Senior Wealth Officer to join its dynamic team in Gozo. This role is ideal for individuals looking to further develop their career in banking and investment services while delivering an excellent customer experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of clients, providing investment advice in accordance with regulatory requirements, and identifying opportunities to grow existing and new client relationships.

This position is offered on an indefinite contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Investment & Financial Advisory
  
  • Provide investment advice to clients in line with MiFID II requirements and internal policies
  • Manage and maintain relationships with an assigned portfolio of investment clients
  • Conduct regular client reviews and suitability assessments
  • Support clients in achieving their financial and investment objectives
    

• Business Development & Sales
  
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities
  • Introduce new customers to the Bank’s investment and banking services
  • Grow the Bank’s investment client base and deepen existing client relationships
  • Achieve agreed sales and productivity targets
  • Promote and cross-sell banking and investment products

• Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients
  • Handle customer queries and complaints in a professional and efficient manner
  • Deliver a high level of customer satisfaction and service
    

• Banking Operations
  
  • Support account opening and investment onboarding processes
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and client documentatios
  • Complete administrative tasks related to client portfolios and regulatory requirements
  • Assist clients with banking and e-banking services and queries as required
    

• Networking & Market Knowledge
  • Represent the Bank at networking and business events
  • Stay up to date with financial markets, industry developments, and relevant regulations
  • Pursue continuous learning and professional development opportunities
    

Requirements & Qualifications 

• Degree in Banking and Finance or Diploma in Financial Advice or another recognised qualification meeting the competency requirements to provide investment advice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English
• Previous experience within the financial services sector
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
