About the Role

The Software Engineer – Mobile Development is responsible for the overall performance of the product by applying principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software. In this role, you will ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software within release timelines and guidelines, while contributing to a collaborative, standards-driven engineering culture. Your Role Responsibilities — Here's What You'll Do

• Develop code based on functional specifications and a thorough understanding of product code; identify refactoring opportunities and architectural improvements to enhance product performance and quality.
• Test code to verify it meets technical specifications and is working as intended before submitting to code review; create and apply automated tests and test principles to software changes, including unit tests.
• Complete logic and algorithm design in alignment with established standards; perform moderately complex peer code reviews and read software requirements to understand their impact on design specifications.
• Contribute to standards and processes applicable to software development methodology, including planning, work estimation, solution demos, and reviews.
• Contribute to the implementation of the delivery pipeline, including test automation, security, and performance enhancements across the product.
• Provide troubleshooting support for moderately complex production issues or software code issues to ensure application stability, and make data-driven recommendations for internal process improvements and product documentation.

Role Essentials — What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with more than 3 years of relevant work experience in Mobile Development.
• Experience with front-end web frameworks such as Angular or React, with prior knowledge in development for Android with Java and/or iOS platforms.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including code design, algorithm development, automated testing, and code review practices.
• Demonstrated ability to develop code based on functional specifications, identify refactoring opportunities, and deliver high-quality software within release timelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot moderately complex production issues and make data-driven recommendations for process and product improvements.

What We'd Like to See — Preferred Skills

• Exposure to cross-platform mobile app development frameworks such as Ionic or Kotlin, with a strong desire to build expertise in emerging mobile technologies.
• Experience with C# .NET, considered a strong advantage for candidates contributing to full-stack or hybrid mobile/web development projects.
• Experience contributing to delivery pipelines including test automation, security, and performance improvements in an Agile or DevOps environment.
• Experience performing peer code reviews and contributing to development standards, processes, and best practices within a collaborative engineering team.
• Strong understanding of business and application requirements, with the ability to translate technical insights into actionable recommendations for product documentation and process improvement.
