Education

University degree in Computer Science or Software/Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

2 to 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining applications using Java (preferable) and/or other equivalent object -oriented paradigm language(s).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions using various programming languages and technologies relevant to Swift’s ecosystem.

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architectural design, coding, testing, deployment, and operational support.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, architects, and operations engineers, to deliver robust and innovative solutions.

  • Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging to identify and resolve operational issues occurring in test and production systems.

  • Prepare, present, test and execute changes in Production.

  • Participate in change planning and risk mitigation activities.

  • Suggest improvements & contribute to continuous improvements of development processes, tools, and methodologies.

  • Stay up to date on DevOps tools, SRE practices, modern deployment techniques, and industry trends.

  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and regulatory requirements.

  • Document technical designs, specifications, and operational procedures.

Professional Knowledge and Expertise
Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Full-stack development experience.

  • Expertise with Java and/or other equivalent object-oriented paradigm language(s) and frameworks such as Spring Boot.

  • Experience with SQL and any relational databases (e.g. Oracle), preferably with some data modelling.

  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript frameworks (i.e., Angular) is a plus.

  • Good hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems (RedHat preferred).

  • Comfortable in deep diving, contributing and improving day-to-day operational aspects of the application.

  • Basic understanding of computer networking concepts and protocols (e.g. SSL/TLS, HTTP/S) and markup languages such as XML, XSD, XSLT, etc.

  • Experience working with some continuous integration/delivery technologies, e.g. Git, Maven, Jenkins, etc.

  • Willingness to explore and learn new technologies according to the company strategy and business need.

  • Strong communication skills with a mastery of spoken and written English are mandatory.

  • Vocal and proactive in discussions.

  • Open minded and collaborative, with a willingness to embrace and enhance the squad way of working.

  • Able to collaborate with colleagues and teams operating in a multinational environment across varying time-zones.

  • Practical working experience in an Agile environment.

  • Eagerness to learn and understand business needs and commitments.

Nice to Have Skills (Bonus Skills)

  • Knowledge of Swift products and/or financial messaging.

  • Knowledge of financial sanctions.

  • Experience working with some modern platforms and related technology stack(s), e.g. Kibana, Ansible etc.
