Your Impact at Encompass

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will play a critical part in designing, developing, and maintaining our cutting-edge vintrace product solution. vintrace is a wine production software for future forward producers that streamlines the winemaking process from grape to bottle. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, enhance system architecture, and deliver high-quality software that meets business and customer needs.

What You'll Do:

As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement innovative software solutions, working collaboratively within a cross-functional team to meet business and user needs. You will also engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from conception through deployment, ensuring high-quality deliverables through rigorous testing and continuous refinement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement software solutions while ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Modify our existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with product teams to define specifications and develop software solutions that align with business goals.
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code in various programming languages.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share best practices.
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency, troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading software as necessary.
  • Work closely with other engineers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to deliver outstanding products.

 

What You'll Bring to Encompass:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development or a related role.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working with the required technologies including Web applications / architecture, C#, SQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript (vanilla)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • The ability to be organised, resourceful, proactive and an effective communicator.
  • Ability to take initiative and thrive in an environment of multi–tasking and interruptions.
  • Possession of strong critical thinking, problem solving, and customer service and interaction skills.

Additional Details

Salary: This role will receive a competitive salary, superannuation and bonus. 

Location: We are a remote-first organization and are open to applicants within Australia for both hybrid and remote roles.  Our AU corporate office is located in Melbourne, AU.
