What you’ll own

- Build and enhance software applications that deliver reliable, secure and scalable solutions for clients and the business.

- Create high quality code across front end or back end technologies, driving performance, maintainability and long term value.

- Turn technical requirements into practical solutions that improve application functionality and user experience.

- Validate and improve application quality through testing, debugging and continuous refinement, ensuring dependable outcomes.

- Apply secure development practices, including Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards, to protect clients and business operations.

- Identify opportunities to improve development practices, contribute ideas and influence better ways of building software.

- Build strong partnerships with colleagues across technology teams to deliver successful solutions and shared outcomes.

- Grow your technical capabilities across modern programming languages, platforms and tools while expanding your impact within Global Payments.

What you bring

- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems or a related field.

- Knowledge of one or more modern programming languages and a strong foundation in software development principles.

- Familiarity with :

Operating Systems:

- Linux distributions including one or more for the following: Ubuntu, CentOS/RHEL, Amazon Linux

- Microsoft Windows

- z/OS

- Tandem/HP-Nonstop

Database - Design, familiarity with DDL and DML for one or more of the following databases Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, IMS, DB2, Hadoop

Back-end technologies - Java, Python, .NET, Ruby, Mainframe COBOL, Mainframe Assembler

Front-end technologies - HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CICS

Web Frameworks – Web technologies like Node.js, React.js, Angular, Redux

Development Tools  - Eclipse, Visual Studio, Webpack, Babel, Gulp

Mobile Development – iOS, Android

Machine Learning – Python, R, Matlab, Tensorflow, DMTK

It’s a bonus if you have

- Experience designing, developing or analyzing software through internships, research projects or professional roles.

- Exposure to cloud platforms, modern development frameworks or DevOps practices that enable scalable, high quality software delivery.

- Experience contributing to team projects using version control, Agile ways of working or continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
