What you'll own

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services and APIs using Node.js and JavaScript to support high-volume data processing and business operations.
• Build and optimize MongoDB data models, indexing strategies, query performance, and data governance practices to ensure efficient and reliable system performance.
• Contribute to AWS cloud architecture, deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence, helping ensure system scalability, reliability, and security.
• Design and integrate system interfaces across multiple business platforms, ensuring stable, traceable, and extensible data flows.
• Participate in architecture evolution for large-scale data environments, including caching, asynchronous processing, messaging systems, and observability solutions.
• Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, testing practices, and engineering standards to maintain high delivery quality.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of back-end software development experience, with hands-on experience building and maintaining medium-to-large-scale services.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript, including service design, development, optimization, and refactoring.
• Solid experience with MongoDB, including data modeling, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning in high-volume environments.
• Experience working with AWS cloud services and a good understanding of cloud deployment, monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting practices.
• Experience designing high-availability, high-concurrency, and distributed systems, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex production issues independently.
• Strong API design and system integration experience, with a collaborative approach to working across multiple technical teams.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with North American engineering teams in meetings and technical discussions.

It's a bonus if you have

• Experience supporting online ordering platforms, retail, restaurant, ERP, CRM, or other transaction-intensive business systems.
• Experience designing and optimizing large-scale, data-intensive architectures and distributed applications.
• Experience with messaging platforms, caching technologies, task scheduling frameworks, event-driven architectures, and observability solutions.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automated deployment processes.
• Experience working across multiple time zones and successfully collaborating within global, multicultural teams.
