We are on a journey to modernize our landscape, and we are looking for a skilled and curious Software Engineer to join the Digital Product Area ‘Range Core - Requirements and Compliance’ within Technology at Inter IKEA, Range Operations. Our digital products help make sure that IKEA products meet requirements, are compliant in our markets across the world, and can move safely and efficiently through a global value chain.  

We are growing our team in Malmö, Sweden and looking for someone who enjoys building digital solutions with close collaboration across teams, cultures, and locations. 

Your new job 

We’re looking for a Software Engineer who is a curious problem solver and learner. In Core Business Range, you will help bring digital products closer to the heart of the IKEA business, building solutions that support product development, manufacturing and supplier flows. 
 
You will join a cross-functional team creating and maintaining backend services, APIs, integrations, web applications and large databases that support critical business processes across IKEA. While the role includes contributing across the full stack, the primary focus is on backend development, system integrations, and reliable software delivery. You will be empowered to experiment, learn, and continuously improve our engineering practices. Your work will have a global impact, helping co-workers, suppliers, and partners collaborate effectively and ensuring trusted IKEA products reach our customers. 

Qualifications

What we’d like you to bring to the table 

• 3+ years of experience building software solutions, with a strong foundation in backend but curiosity to grow across the full stack 

• Strong experience with backend development using .NET/C#, REST APIs, and relational DBs 

• Experience with frontend development using React, TypeScript, Jest or similar  

• Experience or interest in cloud development, preferably Azure, GCP, or AWS 

• Comfortable with CI/CD, DevOps practices, GitHub, and test automation 

• An agile mindset and experience working in cross-functional product teams 

• Clear and honest communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, cultures, and locations 

• A deep understanding of IKEA's core values and cultural principles as well as a mindset and way of working that reflects this
