• Welcomes and acknowledges all guests in the spa, according to company standards.
• Anticipates and addresses guests’ service needs.
• Thanks guests with genuine appreciation.
• Provides professional, quality, relaxing massage and hydrotherapy services for spa guests.
• Is willing to perform all treatments listed on the Spa Menu and is committed to learning how to perform each treatment with perfection and consistency.
• Believes self-care is an essential part of the guest experience and commits to educating spa guests on the importance of self-care at home.
• Incorporates retail sales into treatments.
• Commits to a complete consultation prior to each massage/spa treatment to ensure agreement of intended outcome of treatment.
• Maintains extensive knowledge of the organization, spa products, and massage services.
• Participates in regularly scheduled massage therapists team meetings and cross-training opportunities.
• Participates in advanced training programs and applies the techniques and practices learned to improve service quality.
• Effectively utilizes time management tools.
• Handles guest requests, resolves issues, and ensures their needs are met to maintain a positive guest experience.
• Knowledgeable about cultural differences to effectively accommodate and cater to the diverse needs of all customers.
• Knowledgeable about etiquette and protocols.
• Handles all duties according to hotel policies, procedures, internal rules, and standards.
• Knowledgeable about daily hotel operations, checks daily event sheet, bulletin boards and is up to date with all changes, new procedures, and events.
• Follows all company safety and security policies and procedures. 
• Reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor.
• Completes safety trainings and certifications. 
• Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supports the team to reach common goals.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Hospitality oriented 
• Completed a minimum of 1,000 hours in an accredited massage therapy program
• Must hold a Permanent Massage License in Puerto Rico
• Three years of previous massage experience in a spa
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Able to handle difficult situations effectively
• Able to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure
• Flexibility to become cross-trained in other spa functions/services
• Additional wellness/massage credentials such as Reiki, Reflexology, Cranial Sacral, Aromatherapy, Myofascial release, and lymphatic techniques are a plus
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English)
