About Probio:

ProBio is the subsidiary of GenScript Biotech Corporation, proactively providing end-to-end CDMO service from drug discovery to commercialization with proactive strategies, professional solutions and efficient processes in antibody protein drugs, Cell and Gene Therapy, vaccines, etc., to accelerate drug development for customers, ProBio’s Antibody Drug Discovery (ADD) service & solutions cover monoclonal Ab lead generation using various platforms & technologies (hybridoma, human combo phage display library, single B cell, humanized mice, single domain Ab), lead characterization via various in vitro function assays and in vivo efficacy models, and lead optimization (humanization, PTM removal, affinity maturation, developability assessment & engineering), as well as construction and characterization of Ab based therapeutic modalities (Bispecific Abs, ADCs and CAR-Ts).

Job Description:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within the assigned territory by promoting ProBio's Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) CDMO services, with a focus on Plasmid DNA, AAV, Lentiviral Vector (LVV), and related process development and GMP manufacturing services. The role will develop strategic customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and support customers from early development through commercialization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute a strategic territory growth plan for Cell & Gene Therapy CDMO services.
  2. Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across biotech, pharma, and academia.
  3. Build trusted relationships with scientific, technical, and executive stakeholders.
  4. Provide consultative recommendations for Plasmid DNA, AAV, LVV, Process Development, Analytical Development, and GMP Manufacturing.
  5. Lead commercial discussions with SMEs, Technical Account Managers, and Operations teams.
  6. Prepare proposals, negotiate agreements, and support contract execution.
  7. Maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast while achieving territory objectives.
  8. Monitor customer pipelines, funding activity, industry trends, and competitive intelligence.
  9. Represent ProBio at conferences and partnering events.
  10. Share market intelligence with Commercial, Marketing, and Leadership teams.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or advanced degree in Life Sciences or related field.
  2. Over 3 years of Business Development or commercial experience within biotech, pharma, CRO, or CDMO industries.
  3. Experience in Cell & Gene Therapy, viral vectors, plasmid DNA, biologics, or advanced therapies strongly preferred.
  4. Demonstrated success in consultative technical sales and complex opportunity management.
  5. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
