This is an opportunity to join a top-notch precision analog design team within REIN leading power product line. As part of one of Renesas’s most prominent BMS (Battery Management Systems) Design Groups, this Engineer will work on next-generation IC products for multiple fast paced automotive, consumer, and industrial power products.  
 

Job Description

  • Manage the design team for day-to-day work 
  • Plan design resources to complete top-level schematic, layout and provide on-time tape out 
  • Technical project lead and/or technical guidance 
  • Analog and Power design of integrated circuit development projects 
  • Hands-on block level design from specification to clean database 
  • Interface with layout, verification, test, product and application engineers to successfully bring new products from initial concept through release to production 
  • Participate in discussions and draft documents of technical issues and other design aspects with internal teams and customers 
  • Instigate regular peer reviews with other analog engineers 
  • Guide the layout of circuit blocks for high-speed performance and precision operations 
  • Analyze different process options to select the best process for given target application 
  • Drive specification requirements for the chip 
  • Visit customers to learn about the application and total system level solution 
  • Run block-level and top-level mixed-mode simulations to meet datasheet parameters 
  • Lab evaluation and support for circuit blocks/whole ICs 
  • Support test development and ramp to production

Qualifications

  • BSEE (MSEE pref.) or equivalent with 14+ years professional industry experience in Analog design engineering role 
  • Experience in management position 
  • Must have a design experience with several of the following: ADCs (SAR/Sigma Delta), precision amplifiers, bandgap references, switching regulators, LDOs, DAC, system level simulation 
  • Design experience in CMOS/BICMOS is required 
  • Experience working with small geometry BCD processes is a plus 
  • Advanced knowledge of Mixed-Signal Cadence tools and parasitic-extraction is preferred 
  • Must have a written and verbal cross-functional communication skills
