Fortune 500 manufacturing company seeking a Staff Accountant to join growing team.
Responsibilities
In the Staff Accountant position, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Preparation of journal entries to ensure accuracy and completion of general ledger
- Preparation, review and analysis of account reconciliations
- General accounting support to all levels of staff and management
- Maintenance of internal controls
- Assistance in year-end audits and quarterly reviews
- Preparation of review packages
- Preparation of budgets
- Preparation and review of tax filings, including sales & use tax for multiple states and certain state excise tax
- Preparation of financial statements
Requirements
For the Staff Accountant role, the employer seeks the following skills and experience:
- 2 or more years of accounting experience
- Systems skills: Excel, Access and SAP STRONGLY PREFERRED
- CPA preferred
