About this role

Company Description

WD is building the infrastructure behind the AI-driven data economy.

As AI scales, so does data. Every interaction, every model, every system generates data that must be stored, managed, and made accessible over time. That’s where we come in.

We combine deep engineering expertise with global-scale manufacturing to deliver the storage systems that make AI possible, powering hyperscale data centers, cloud platforms, and enterprise infrastructure worldwide.

This isn’t theoretical work. It’s real systems, at real scale, people solving some of the hardest challenges in technology today.

We’re looking for people who want to build, solve, and operate at that level.

Join us and let’s shape the future of data.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • HVAC Project Design, Engineering & Execution
    • Capital Planning & Budgeting: Support HVAC capital budget planning, including life-cycle analysis for critical equipment (Chillers, Cooling Towers, AHUs), and prepare technical justifications for upgrades or replacements.
    • Technical Design & Feasibility: Conduct feasibility studies and lead design reviews—including cooling load calculations, psychrometric, and air distribution—to support production expansion and cleanroom requirements.
    • End-to-End Project Management: Lead HVAC projects from concept to commissioning; prepare detailed Scopes of Work, conduct vendor technical evaluations, and ensure strict adherence to ISO 14644 standards, timelines, and quality requirements.
  • Cleanroom Control, Compliance & Redundancy
    • Environmental Parameter Management: Monitor and maintain stable controlled environments (Temperature, %RH, Particle count, and Delta P) to ensure production utilities remain qualified and compliant with industry standards.
    • Downtime Mitigation: Manage and maintain N+1 redundancy configurations for critical utilities to eliminate the risk of production downtime due to environmental excursions.
  • Energy Optimization & Sustainability
    • Decarbonization Initiatives: Drive sustainability goals by implementing energy-saving programs (e.g., Chiller Plant Optimization) and managing the transition to Low-GWP (Global Warming Potential) refrigerants.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting & CAPA
    • Root Cause Analysis: Lead deep-dive technical troubleshooting for complex HVAC failures, generating comprehensive 8D reports and implementing effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Project Handover, O&M Support & Safety
    • Operational Handover: Coordinate smooth project transitions to the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team by updating As-built drawings via AutoCAD, conducting technical training, and providing spare parts lists and maintenance manuals.
    • Contractor Safety Supervision: Supervise and monitor HVAC contractors during high-risk tasks, ensuring full compliance with safety protocols to achieve zero-accident execution without impacting ongoing production.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering Or related.
  • Professional Experience: At least 5 years in Facilities management or Engineering, with a strong focus on industrial HVAC system operations and projects.
  • Industry Expertise: Proven experience in the Electronics industry or High-Tech manufacturing; specific knowledge of ISO 14644 and environmental control requirements.

PREFERRED:

  • License for Professional Practice from Council of Engineers Thailand

  • Technical Skills
    • HVAC & Cleanroom Systems: In-depth knowledge of Chiller Plant systems (Centrifugal/Screw), AHU/MAU operations, psychrometric analysis, Cleanroom airflow design, pressure balancing, and dehumidification/humidity control systems.
    • Software & Engineering Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD for designing, modifying, and reviewing mechanical/HVAC layouts.
    • Engineering Drawings: Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and Control Logic (BMS/BAS).
    • Sustainability: Knowledge of energy-saving technologies, Low-GWP refrigerants, and sustainable industrial facility practices.
  • Soft Skills & Methodologies
    • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with expertise in performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using 8D or similar methodologies.
    • Project Management: Proven ability to manage CAPEX projects from the initial planning phase through to final execution.
