Utilizes the nursing process to provide safe therapeutic care for patients: Assessment Planning Implementation Evaluation
Utilizes the nursing process to identify and meet educational and discharge needs of the patients
Identifies changes in patients' condition and intervenes appropriately.
Provides critical care level of patient care.
Works collaboratively with physicians. Review orders. Reports abnormal lab values and significant changes in patient findings.
Works collaboratively with patients and family to establish a plan of care, which would include an assessment of psychosocial needs.
Obtains consents on patients prior to performing studies as required.
Possesses knowledge of medications and demonstrates ability to dispense medications as per FHMC standards.
Demonstrates knowledge and safe operation of equipment pertinent to patient care and unit management. Demonstrates appropriate use, monitoring and administration of IVs as per FHMC standards.
Job Requirements
Required
- Currently working in ICU or Cath Lab or within the last 2 years
- Critical Care nursing experience required, primarily in cardiovascular nursing
- Registered Nurse: CA RN License
- Basic Life Support - CPR BLS
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS, within 90 Days
Preferred
- Angiographic experience desired
- Cath Lab experience
