Job Description

MAT Leave Cover (12 Months), Full-time and Hybrid Working 

*The position is available nationally, across Perth, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney

The Student Success Adviser is responsible for supporting students throughout their educational journey by delivering exceptional service, personalised guidance and proactive engagement that encourages student success, retention and progression. Acting as a trusted adviser, this role builds meaningful relationships with students, helping them confidently navigate their studies while identifying opportunities to support continued enrolment and achievement of their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage a portfolio of students throughout their study journey, providing personalised support via phone, virtual consultations, email and face-to-face interactions.
  • Build trusted relationships with students, providing guidance on study planning, course progression and available support services.
  • Drive student retention and re-enrolment through proactive engagement, consultative conversations and future study planning.
  • Monitor student engagement, attendance and academic progress, identifying students who may require additional support and implementing timely intervention strategies.
  • Resolve student enquiries and complex cases using sound judgement and a solutions-focused approach while delivering an exceptional student experience.
  • Maintain accurate student records and compliance-aligned documentation, contributing to reporting, continuous improvement initiatives and collaborative team outcomes.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary-level qualifications (preferred) and/or demonstrated experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Experience working in a KPI-driven environment, ideally in student services, customer service, sales or a similar client-focused role.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence in proactive student conversations.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Sound problem-solving skills, resilience and initiative, with a solutions-focused approach.
  • Experience using CRM or student management systems, with a genuine passion for student success.
