Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Clinic Supervisor, you will lead and manage the daily operations of our clinic, ensuring efficient patient flow, exceptional service delivery, and a productive work environment for our team. Franciscan Medical Group, as part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is currently seeking a full time Clinic Operations Supervisor for our Franciscan Orthopedic Associates Clinic in Gig Harbor, WA. We are looking for a highly motivated, team oriented clinic Operations Supervisor for our fast-paced clinic. No weekends or organizationally recognized holidays required!
Every day you will oversee administrative and clinical support staff, manage scheduling and facility resources, monitor compliance with policies and procedures, resolve patient and staff concerns, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize clinic performance.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, a proven ability to manage complex clinic operations, and a commitment to patient satisfaction and team development. You will possess a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations and best practices, driving continuous improvement and fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
This job is responsible for supervising and evaluating the daily activities of the assigned patient access and/or clinical staff in accordance with established business objectives and applicable regulatory requirements. Incumbents oversee activities to make sure they are conducted in a cost-effective and efficient manner, meet customer needs and are compliant with internal policies/standards/procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
Work includes:
- Supervising assigned staff (e.g. hiring, training, scheduling and/or evaluating) engaged in maintaining/supporting patient access services and/or clinical officer services, including appointment scheduling, registration, check-in/check-out, collections, referrals, surgery scheduling, patient and care team activities, and other activities in accordance with established operating standards,
- Serving as critical conduit/liaison with various internal departments in coordinating and troubleshooting various business and/or patient care related issues;
- Attending site-based meetings/activities and providing operational performance data for integration,
- Problem-solving, troubleshooting and appropriate escalation of issues to higher-level management, and
- Identifying opportunities to streamline current operations and implementing approved procedural changes.
An incumbent is located either behind-the-scenes, interacting with patients on the phone or at the front desk, interacting with patients directly.
