(Tax Co-op

Note: This is a 8 month contract position within our Canadian Tax team, beginning in September 2026.
 

About the role:
As a Tax Co-op your primary responsibilities will include preparing indirect tax returns, assisting in various tax audits, assisting in commodity and income tax compliance, monitoring and following up on pension payments, preparing journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations. In this position you will also assist the tax team with various projects and administration work. You will gain an understanding of how a Canadian Corporate Tax department works as well as acquiring experience working with the SAP General Ledger system and learning to navigate through various modules.

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Good accounting knowledge and prior tax, accounting or audit experience.
  • Proficiency with Windows based applications (especially Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Results oriented with demonstrated initiative and drive
  • Strong interpersonal & communications skills, and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work under tight timelines and multi-tasking.
  • Pursuing a degree in accounting, business or finance
