Tax Manager

This is a full-time position based in Malta   Apeiron Investment Group invests in and builds companies at the forefront of biotech, deeptech, fintech, and crypto. We manage our own balance sheet of more than USD 1bn plus external capital in our various venture funds of more than USD 1.5bn.   Apeiron invests across multiple sectors in multiple jurisdictions, with a key focus on venture capital investments. The portfolio also includes Listed Equities on European and US exchanges, Funds, Fund Managers, Fund of Funds and Private Equity Investments. Apeiron has offices and entities in Malta, Dubai, the UK, Germany and the US. Key tax reporting jurisdictions for the company are Malta, the UK, Germany, the US, and Dubai.   The ideal candidate should have primary experience in managing taxation of corporations in Malta, as well as some exposure to international tax reporting ideally in the EU/UK/US. Understanding of US taxation is a plus but not strictly required. Full knowledge and experience of Income Tax and Value Added Tax reporting and structuring for Maltese Groups of Companies is essential.   The role requires an individual who is able to manage the tax affairs of a complex group structure, as well as drive tax efficiencies in VAT and Income Tax through appropriate tax planning and analysis.
