Team Lead, Software Engineering (.NET)

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead, Software Engineering (.NET), to lead a high-performing Business Take-On engineering team in Belgrade.

This role combines hands-on software development with people leadership. You will be responsible for developing and evolving a platform that automates, optimizes, and accelerates customer renewals, onboarding, and batch processing into fulfillment systems.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments  

• 6 years of hands-on software development experience using C# and .NET technologies, including Web APIs and integrations, with at least 2 years of experience managing a software engineering team.
• At least 2 years of professional experience developing applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in English.
   

It would be great if you also had . . .  

• Experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Frontend development experience.
• Experience developing enterprise applications and strong skills in troubleshooting software and performance issues.
• Agile development methodologies working experience.
• Experience in implementing modular distributed systems.
   

What will you be doing in this role? 

• Lead a team of software engineers developing a modular distributed platform that enables faster onboarding of new customers and services
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Architecture, DevOps, QA, and Operations teams
• Guide the team in planning, refactoring, enhancing, and extending existing solutions to ensure long-term maintainability and scalability
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to team members
• Encourage innovation and creative problem-solving when addressing complex business and technical challenges
• Contribute to continuously improving the software development lifecycle and champion modern engineering practices, including AI-driven development approaches
• Monitor team performance, technical capabilities, and delivery outcomes to ensure sustainable success
   

Product you will be developing  

You will be developing an internal platform that automates and streamlines customer onboarding and batch processing into fulfillment systems, helping accelerate the transition from sales to operational delivery while improving efficiency, scalability, and data quality.
 

About the team

We are a global team that supports, improves, and modernizes the range of connected services and applications from various technologies that make up the entire IP renewal landscape. You will work in a cross-cultural environment with team members based in Belgrade and India, while collaborating closely with Product Management in the UK and Architecture teams in the US. In this role, you will lead a smaller team of software engineers while partnering with Product, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Operations teams. You will report directly to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering.

Hours of Work

This is a permanent full-time position, with core engagement hours within the CET time zone. 

This is a hybrid position, you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
