Job Title: Team Leader- Safety

Location: Panoli

Job Responsibilities

1. Safety Management

• Lead and coordinate site safety activities and initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct regular workplace inspections and safety audits.

• Identify hazards and implement appropriate risk control measures.

2. Incident Management

• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.

• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

• Monitor closure of identified safety actions.

3. Training and Awareness

• Conduct safety inductions for new employees and contractors.

• Organize toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness campaigns.

• Train employees on emergency response, safe work practices, and PPE requirements.

4. Compliance and Documentation

• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training records, and incident logs.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Factory Act, ISO 45001, and other applicable standards.

• Assist during internal and external safety audits.

5. Emergency Preparedness

• Coordinate emergency response activities and drills.

• Ensure emergency equipment is maintained and readily available.

• Support crisis management and business continuity plans.

6. Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor safety officers and safety representatives.

• Promote a positive safety culture across the organization.

• Support cross-functional teams in achieving safety objectives.

7. Performance Monitoring

• Track safety KPIs such as TRIR, LTIFR, near-miss reporting, and audit findings.

• Prepare periodic safety performance reports for management.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety.

Qualifications

• B.E Chemical Engineering

• Qualifications for safety- PDIS and ADIS

• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent preferred.

• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.

Requirements

• 10-12 years of experience in occupational health and safety.

• Minimum 2-3 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.

• Experience in manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, or construction industries preferred.
