Job Description

Job  Summary

Seeking an experienced Piping/Plant Design Engineer with AutoCAD expertise and proficiency in 3D modeling software (Autodesk Revit,Autodesk Plant 3D, Aveva E3D). Must be skilled in preparing engineering drawings (civil, equipment, piping, cable tray, pipe supports), understanding structural/pipe stress analysis requirements, and handling material requisitions and bid evaluations. Prepare As-Built drawings, and equipment layouts. Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive Plant engineering 3D Model and deliverables  based on engineering documentation and ensuring compliance with ASME standards (B31.3/B31.1). The ideal candidate will conduct peer reviews following Global Quality procedures, participate in model reviews, and manage material requisitions.The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in BIM modelling, cordination and repairing documentation based on the level of detailing requirements. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of ASME codes, equipment layout design, and pipe support calculations. Experience in model reviews and cross-disciplinary collaboration is essential. This role involves conducting peer reviews, managing technical documentation, and contributing to water treatment system projects while following quality procedures. Essential Responsibilities / Expectations

Must-Have Requirements

• Able to create standard P&ID templates for all process, which include legend, blocks, attributes, linking to spreadsheets, and extraction of AutoCAD attributes

• Able to draft Equipment/Foundation Layout t using AutoCAD software 

• Able to  develop Single line routing, perform PFD/PID Review, Equipment Layout/Single Line Pipe Routing design, 2D drawings extraction and annotation of various deliverables like Isometrics/Piping & Pipe Support Layout, MTO, Support spacing(Metallic & Non-Metallic lines), prepare clash report.

• Able to prepare plant in 3D model using softwares, able to do BIM modelling upto level of detailing of 400

• Proficient in Review Isometrics / 3D model to select correct pipe support type to align with the analysis

• Knowledge on Carbon Structural Steel, Carbon Steel Forgings, for Piping Applications, Seamless Carbon Steel Pipe for High-Temperature Service, Seamless, Welded, and Heavily Cold Worked Austenitic Stainless Steel Pipe, Seamless Ferritic Alloy Steel Pipe for High-Temperature Service

• Competent to attend on-site meetings representing team  and has other customer facing interactions

Good To Have Requirements 

1. Able to design and detail equipment arrangements, Single line Intra or Interconnect Pipe routing  based on various project scheme.

2. Able to create/modify complex P&ID, layouts during bidding stage & prepare Equipment/Foundation Layout/Single line Intra or Interconnect Pipe routing .

1. Able to guide group of 3D Modelers to perform PFD/PID Review, Equipment Layout/Single Line Pipe Routing design, 2D drawings extraction and annotation of various deliverables like Isometrics/Piping & Pipe Support Layout.

2. Proficient in conducting design review ,Able to provide redline mark-ups in basic engineering documents based on 3D Model. Knowledge of PDM/EPDM/Vault software/BIM 360 are additional

3. Able to develop Concept Balance of Plant 3D Model in proposal stage with cross-functional disciplines, prepare  accurate Bill of Quantity as well as Man-hours Estimation during project phase. Knowledge on ASME, EN & DIN Codes & Standards pertaining to Pipes & Fittings Dimensional details is essential.

4. Review input echo of the pipe stress analysis / reports against design requirements and guide support activity

5. Able manage a group design engineers, attend on site client meetings, Coordinating complicated work with professional engineer in various regions, cross functional disciplines like Project Engineering/Mechanical Design/Piping/E&I Engineering.

6. Knowledge on Electric-Fusion-Welded Austenitic Chromium-Nickel Alloy Stainless Steel Pipe for High-Temperature Service and General Applications, Pressure Vessel Plates, Carbon Steel, for Moderate and Lower-Temperature Service, Electric-Fusion-Welded Steel Pipe for Atmospheric and Lower Temperatures, Electric-Fusion-Welded Steel Pipe for High-Pressure Service at Moderate Temperatures, ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessels Code

Qualifications

Educational Qualification: Engineering Degree – Mechanical / Experience in Mechanical Engineering

Experience Required (Min – Max year): Maximum 8-12 years’ Experience of Mechanical design

Revit /AUTO CAD PLANT 3D/ Aveva E3D/SMARTPLANT 3D) and AutoCAD Familiarity with international specifications relating to structures, piping and vessels
