We’re looking for an awesome Senior Full Stack .NET Developer to take on a Tech Lead role, who will not only smash out some incredible work but will also grow our team vibes. About the role - the work stuff:   

We're looking for a highly experienced and passionate Senior Full Stack .NET Developer to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of software development. You'll be instrumental in building robust and scalable web applications using the Microsoft .NET stack, but more importantly, you'll be at the forefront of our exciting AI-driven projects. This is a chance to leverage your deep .NET expertise while exploring some pretty cool, cutting-edge AI technologies.

As a Datacom Tech Lead, you’re expected to bring a healthy dose of leadership skill and technical consulting expertise. Our Tech Leads work closely with client and internal teams, providing technical direction and decision making, and working with key stakeholders to ensure we are delivering a high-quality experience.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing, building, and deploying applications for our customers using the latest .NET technologies, with a strong emphasis on scalability and performance.
  • Working closely with customers to understand their needs and tailor solutions that solve real-world business challenges.
  • Providing technical advice and consultancy to our customers  
  • Working closely with stakeholders and taking accountability for the technical experince and outcomes
  • Staying across the latest tech trends, models, and tools, and bring innovative ideas into solution design.
  • Contributing to establishing best practices, frameworks, and reusable components for development at Datacom.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to intuitive, user-facing tools and APIs that deliver measurable business value to our customers.
  • Working to ensure that systems are developed within agreed budgets and time frames and achieve necessary design and systems security standards.

Things you need:

  • A passion for and willingness to explore the potential of AI solutions in software development
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in a Senior Developer or Tech Lead role
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a customer-facing context
  • An open mind and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
  • We are open to finding the right blend of technical skills and experience drawing from the following:
    • .NET Framework/Core, ASP.NET, and C#
    • RESTful API design and development
    • Front-end development skills (e.g. React, Angular, HTML, CSS)
    • Proficiency in database design and management (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL)
    • Experience or knowledge of Azure cloud computing platforms (or equivalent)

Things that are nice to have:

  • Experience with ORM frameworks (Entity Framework).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Azure Integration Services  
  • Experience using AI tooling or integrating AI projects
  • Experience implementing comprehensive unit and integration testing strategies to ensure code quality and application stability.
