Role Summary

As a Technical Product Manager, you will operate as a true "Builder-PM" sitting directly at the intersection of strategic product leadership and hands-on technical execution. In this role, you will drive product vision, roadmaps, and stakeholder alignment while actively working with our data engineering infrastructure from a programmatic perspective. You will leverage Apache Spark and hands-on coding to develop highly scalable data flows that process image annotation data for client Machine Learning algorithms. Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across our platform and technical capabilities, you will receive ongoing mentorship from our experienced data engineering and analytics teams as you build high-impact, technical solutions in a fast-scaling, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

Technical & Data Execution

  • Develop scalable data flows using Apache Spark to process ML annotation data, working directly with engineering to optimize infrastructure and push continuous technical improvements.
  • Design, test, and optimize data engineering code and workflows alongside core developers.

    Product Strategy & Lifecycle
  • Maintain product roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives and oversee end-to-end feature rollout and adoption.
  • Analyze in-life product metrics, performance usage data, and health indicators to determine long-term strategic direction.

    Stakeholder & Team Leadership
  • Serve as the platform Subject Matter Expert (SME) and manage support channels for effective issue triage across cross-functional teams.
  • Drive alignment between technical engineering teams and business stakeholders, mentor junior team members, and foster a collaborative environment.

Must-have skills (required)

  • 3–5 years of experience in product management, technical product management, or a related engineering-focused leadership role.
  • Ability to design, develop, test, and optimize code.
  • Basic SQL and Apache Spark experience (or a strong desire to learn).
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical requirements and architectural trade-offs into clear product specifications and actionable user stories.

Academic and professional requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, Product Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-have skills (preferred)

  • Experience in the AI, data, or platform product space.
  • Project Management background.
  • Degree in a field related to software engineering.
