You will work with the latest technology to effectively translate complex operational information into clear, easy-to-understand technical manuals that enable the Australian Defence Force to execute their missions safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Author system, maintenance, and operator technical publications for electronic, electrical, mechanical, and other technologies.
• Assist with managing technical publications data.
• Assist with providing estimates supporting bid activities.
• Assist with technical illustrations for publications.
• Assist with schedule status.
• Production and management of all standard operating procedural material.
• Ensure publications for their conformance to standards and specifications.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a technical publications discipline, or authoring / technical publications development in a Defence or Engineering related field.
• Able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance, eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
• Qualifications We Prefer
• Experience with the S1000D specification.
• Trade or technical background.
• Experience with authoring in an Extensible Markup Language (XML) environment.
• Prior experience in structured authoring and/or configuration management.
• Demonstrated experience with collaboration platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint.
