Responsibilities

 

Buzzi Unicem USA, is looking for a Technician at our Cape Girardeau Alternate Fuels Facility, with a starting pay of $25.82.

 

  • Receives all shipments of fuel streams that arrive at the facility. Upon receipt makes sure that all documentation regulated by governmental agencies is in full compliance.
  • Samples all waste streams that are delivered to the facility according to established procedures, and delivers the sample to the Laboratory for appropriate testing.
  • Inventories all drum deliveries to the plant according to a predetermined methodology, such that blending may be easily accomplished to meet established burn specifications.
  • Processed drums of waste streams in the drum processing area of the facility according to the procedures established by the facility's supervision.
  • Delivers pails of solid waste residues generated at the facility to the kiln, and injects those pails into the kiln for destruction.
  • Makes daily, weekly and monthly inspections of all aspects of the facility as designated on inspection lists.
  • Makes repairs to electrical and mechanical equipment in the facility as directed by supervisors.
  • Responsible for those housekeeping duties necessary to keep the Alternate Fuels facility in an orderly and clean enviroment.
  • Works in a safe and productive manner according to established guidelines.

    • Communications:

  • Establishes and maintains communications between other technicians in order to accomplish the objectives of the facility.
  • Establishes and maintains dialogue with supervision to effectively perform those duties necessary to accomplish the objectives of the Alternate Fuels facility.

    • High School Diploma or GED 
    • Candidates must be willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts and weekends
