Technician/Business Systems Support

The Technician / Building Systems Support plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of building systems and equipment. This position works closely with the Maintenance Coordinator to support the daily functioning of HVAC, mechanical, and other essential infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically skilled, and committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for building occupants. This role also involves coordination with contractors and tenants, requiring strong communication and organizational abilities.

General duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Support the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of commercial air-conditioning, ventilation, and chiller systems, Building Automation Systems experience.
• Perform general maintenance and repair work on mechanical equipment, building structures, and facility systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and specifications to troubleshoot and repair systems.
• Source and purchase necessary materials and parts to carry out repair and maintenance work.
• Coordinate and manage building access for tenants, contractors, and service providers when required.
• Respond to fire panel alerts and be knowledgeable in elevator emergency procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures.

 Specific requirements:

• Technical Certificate in HVAC systems,
• Experience in general maintenance and building operations.
• Ability to understand and work from technical documents and blueprints.
• Familiarity with fire safety systems and elevator emergency protocols is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Available 24/7 emergency on-call

Salary: Starting at CI$16.00 -$25.00per hour, plus a competitive compensation package commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications.
