Responsibilities
What you will do:
- Perform accident repairs on trailers and heavy trucks (rails, panels, roofs, posts, doors, and floors)
- Handle collision and bodywork repairs including sanding, prepping, and refinishing
- Conduct DOT and preventative maintenance inspections on trailers (brakes, suspension, lighting, wiring, airbags, and more)
- Complete welding and fabrication tasks for structural and cosmetic repairs
- Assist with painting and refinishing as needed
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient, top-quality repairs
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
- 4+ years of experience in trailer
- Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, braking systems, suspension, and body structures
- Welding and fabrication skills (MIG, stick, or plasma cutting a plus)
- A safety-first mindset and commitment to quality
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Must provide your own tools and have reliable transportation
- Overtime flexibility when needed
