Thrive Education Partners partners with families to design and manage educational experiences that extend beyond a traditional classroom model. We are seeking a Full-Time Private Middle School Educator (7th Grade) to work alongside one family and Thrive's Educational Management team to deliver a rigorous, engaging, and highly individualized learning experience.

Role Overview

• Primary Responsibility: Serve as the lead educator for a middle school student, providing instruction across core academic subjects while supporting academic growth, executive functioning, and real-world learning.

• Secondary Responsibility: An elementary-aged sibling also resides in the home and may occasionally require after-school tutoring, homework support, enrichment, or full-day academic instruction during school breaks, extended travel periods, or other times when additional educational support is needed.

This opportunity is ideal for an educator who enjoys building meaningful relationships, adapting instruction to an individual learner, and creating engaging learning experiences both at home and beyond traditional classroom settings.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Full-time position averaging 40+ hours per week.
  • Anticipated start date: Early September 2026.
  • Based in Miami Beach, Florida.
  • Instruction will take place primarily in the family's home, as well as during travel, community outings, museums, enrichment activities, and other experiential learning environments
  • Travel may occur on short notice and can range from several days to multiple weeks depending on family schedules and educational opportunities.
  • Learning environments and schedules may vary throughout the year based on educational opportunities and family travel plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized instruction across math, English language arts, science, and social studies.
  • Develop and adapt curriculum, lesson plans, and learning experiences based on student progress, interests, and goals.
  • Administer assessments, maintain learning documentation, and use data to guide instructional decisions.
  • Strengthen executive functioning skills, including organization, planning, study habits, task initiation, and independent learning.
  • Design project-based, experiential, and interdisciplinary learning opportunities that connect academics to real-world applications.
  • Partner with parents and Thrive's Educational Management team to ensure alignment, communication and continuity.
  • Support participation in extracurricular, enrichment, and community-based learning opportunities.
  • Adapt instruction across home, travel, and other learning environments while maintaining academic progress and continuity.
  • Provide occasional tutoring, enrichment, homework assistance, and supplemental instruction for an elementary-aged sibling as needed.
  • Travel with the family when necessary to deliver appropriate and tailored instruction as needed. (Travel expenses paid)

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience
  • Experience teaching or supporting middle school-aged students
  • Experience with curriculum design
  • Experience with individualized learning plans
  • Experience partnering with parents and families
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Miami Beach, FL area prior to the start of employment
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the year, including domestic and international travel on short notice

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education
  • Holds a K-8 teaching certification
  • Fluent in Spanish or Mandarin
  • Experience with project-based, experiential, or interdisciplinary learning that connects academics to real-world applications
  • Experience supporting executive functioning development and adapting structured lessons
  • Experience in private education, homeschooling, or other highly personalized learning environments
  • Experience working with students across multiple age groups or developmental stages
  • Experience working closely with a private family in their home
