We are seeking a Travel Writer whose duties will include:
- Pitching, writing, producing, and curating engaging travel content of interest to our US audience
• Covering trending destinations, viral travel moments, and breaking travel news
• Writing destination guides, hotel roundups, and service-led travel content
• Assisting with research, story building, and sourcing across travel features
• Delivering clean, engaging copy while working under tight deadlines
• Identifying emerging travel trends across social media and search
• Monitoring analytics and learning how to optimize stories for performance
We are looking for a journalist with:
• Passion for the Daily Mail brand, its editorial voice, and global audience
• 1–2 years of experience in journalism
• Ability to work under deadline pressure in a fast-paced newsroom
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in travel, lifestyle trends, and digital media
• Strong understanding of SEO and digital publishing
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to collaborate with team members
We offer a competitive salary package in the range of $70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience, excellent staff benefits (healthcare, optical, dental, 401K) and a generous PTO
