Utility Maintenance Technician I
About this role
Overview
Major Functions: • Responsible for maintenance, up-keep, and contracts for MDI Management properties.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm
Responsibilities
• Certified or can become certified to operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, etc.• Understands Safety principles in areas such as job site safety and personal protective equipment (PPE).• Paints structures, uses hand and power tools, repairs tools and equipment, and performs upkeep on grounds and landscaping.• Fills in for Battery Changers when needed.• Assist higher level technicians in maintaining the Safe Quality Food (SQF) program.• Assist in any project related to maintaining the facilities.• Attend and successfully complete any training as assigned by management. • May be required to perform other tasks as assigned by supervision.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 0 to 1 year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High standard of integrity and professionalism.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able bend, twist, and lift to 70 lbs. and pass lifting test
