Water & Fire Mitigation Supervisor

PuroClean of Pittsburgh is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Water & Fire Mitigation Supervisor to become a key member of our team.

Pay: $65,00-75,000 per year

This is a working supervisor position. As our Pittsburgh operation continues to grow, this position will have the opportunity to take on additional leadership responsibilities and grow with the company.

Responsibilities

As our Water & Fire Mitigation Supervisor, you will help lead field operations and ensure projects are completed safely, professionally, efficiently, and with exceptional customer service.

You will:

  • Supervise and work alongside mitigation technicians on residential and commercial projects.
  • Manage water damage, structural drying, fire and smoke damage, mold remediation, demolition, and debris removal projects.
  • Evaluate jobsite conditions and determine appropriate mitigation and drying procedures.
  • Set up, monitor, document, and adjust drying equipment and mitigation systems.
  • Manage multiple active projects and coordinate technicians, equipment, and daily field activities.
  • Communicate professionally and confidently with property owners throughout the restoration process.
  • Explain our process, answer customer questions, build trust, and obtain required work authorizations.
  • Maintain accurate daily job documentation, including photos, notes, moisture readings, equipment records, and job progress.
  • Complete required documentation through our restoration management software for office staff and insurance carrier requirements.
  • Work closely with technicians, office staff, estimators, management, insurance professionals, and other project stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are progressing according to company procedures and industry standards.
  • Maintain clean, safe, organized, and professional jobsites, vehicles, equipment, and work areas.
  • Help train, coach, and develop mitigation technicians.
  • Lead by example and maintain accountability within the production team.
  • Participate in the company's rotating on-call schedule and respond to after-hours emergency losses when assigned.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and client satisfaction throughout every project.

  • Previous experience in the water, fire, or property damage restoration industry.
  • Previous supervisory, lead technician, or leadership experience with restoration teams.
  • Strong knowledge of water damage mitigation and structural drying.
  • Experience with fire/smoke damage and mold remediation.
  • Experience working on residential and commercial losses.
  • Ability to manage technicians, schedules, equipment, and multiple active projects.
  • Strong leadership, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Ability to properly document projects using photos, written notes, moisture readings, equipment logs, and restoration software.
  • Ability to train, coach, and hold technicians accountable.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with restoration and mitigation work.

Certifications

IICRC WRT certification is strongly preferred.

Additional certifications such as ASD, AMRT, FSRT, OCT, or other restoration-related certifications are a plus.
