Weekend Afternoon Chef

Rangi Ruru Girls' School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Weekend Afternoon Chef to join our vibrant boarding community.  This term-time position is 14 hours per week on Saturdays and Sundays 1.00pm to 8.00pm

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing and cooking high-quality evening meals for boarders across the weekend
• Creating nutritious, well-presented dishes that students enjoy
• Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene, and kitchen standards
• Managing your work efficiently and independently
• Working alongside a supportive team that is passionate about student wellbeing

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience as a chef or cook in a commercial kitchen, catering, hospitality, boarding, aged care, or similar environment
• A genuine passion for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals
• Excellent food safety and kitchen hygiene knowledge
• The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
• Reliability, organisation, and attention to detail
• A positive attitude and a desire to contribute to a caring community
