Purpose of Role: The Welder will be responsible for heavy fabrication and repair work, specifically on large mining buckets and related industrial equipment. They should have a strong background in welding thick materials, structural components, and wear parts, with a focus on safety, precision, and durability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MIG Welding: Perform MIG welding on large scale mining buckets and heavy equipment components. Conduct structural repairs, rebuilds, and modifications using appropriate welding techniques

  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Operate heavy-duty fabrication tools including grinders, torches, and plasma cutters.

  • Quality Inspection: Inspect welds for quality and compliance with specifications as determined by blueprints

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

 

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Ability to use and run an air arc

  • Must pass a welding test to be considered for hire
