Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations on various boiler components following ASME codes and company quality standards.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures to execute precise and accurate welds.
  • Maintain welding equipment and prepare materials for welding operations.
  • Inspect welds visually and with appropriate testing methods to ensure structural integrity.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with fabrication team members to meet production schedules.
  • Identify and address welding defects and implement corrective measures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; accredited welding certification preferred.
  • At least 2 years of welding experience in industrial or manufacturing settings, preferably with boiler components.
  • Proficient in multiple welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, stick welding, and flux-cored arc welding.
  • Knowledge of ASME Codes Section I and IX and other relevant welding standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various positions and environments.
