Salary: £26,000-£30,000 depending on experience │Location: Yeovil

Job Description

As our Workforce Planning & Care Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring care packages are delivered safely, efficiently, and consistently. You will manage complex staff rotas, maximise workforce capacity, and support the delivery of high-quality care services across the community.

Key Tasks

  • Develop and maintain effective staff rotas and schedules.
  • Match carers to client needs, preferences, and locations.
  • Monitor workforce capacity and proactively manage service demand.
  • Coordinate new care package implementations and adjustments.
  • Liaise with care staff, clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure all care visits are appropriately staffed and covered.
  • Respond efficiently to last-minute changes, emergencies, and absences.
  • Maintain accurate records within care management systems.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning activities.
  • Contribute to service performance targets, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.

Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  • A valid Category B driving license is a genuine occupational requirement for this role due to the need to travel between remote sites where public transport is unavailable.
  • Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS
  • Develop and maintain effective staff rotas and schedules.
  • Match carers to client needs, preferences, and locations.
  • Monitor workforce capacity and proactively manage service demand.
  • Coordinate new care package implementations and adjustments.
  • Liaise with care staff, clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure all care visits are appropriately staffed and covered.
  • Respond efficiently to last-minute changes, emergencies, and absences.
  • Maintain accurate records within care management systems.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning activities.
  • Contribute to service performance targets, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Carry out on call duties

 

Desirable:

  • Level 4 English and IT literate
  • A desire to genuinely help other people and make a difference
  • Resilient, reliable, proactive with a can-do attitude
  • Knowledge of workforce planning methodologies.
  • Experience managing large geographical care rounds.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting a growing care service.
