Job Purpose:
Direct the workshop area (allocate workload, tools, floor space and materials) in order to obtain the maximum
efficiency, productivity and facilitate completion of scheduled repairs and services. Maintain satisfactory service
repair work through implementation of brand’s quality standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set objectives and provide clear guidelines to the team for carrying out daily service in workshop areas, as well as driving.
- continuous improvements to the functions.
- Monitor approved departmental policies, processes, procedures, and instructions to be implemented by subordinates so that
- work is carried out in a controlled manner.
- Manage the Workshop area's resources (personnel, workstations, etc.), coordinate planning tasks, analyzing reportig
- deviations in work performance, delivery times, and billing in order to guarantee the scope, prices, and terms agreed to with
- the customer in the Job Order.
- Cascade the monthly commercially and operationally targets among the workshop staff and implement deductions of damages
- and losses done by workshop staff from workshop turnover rate.
- Determines the required machines, supplies and tools to be purchased that ensure smooth delivery of provided services in
- workshop area as per approved budget.
- Review and assign daily workshop tasks to team leaders and follow up on tasks accomplishments in an efficient manner
- according to the Service core processed standards.
- Manage interventions that may require both vehicle body work and electromechanical work in collaboration with the Body and
- Paint Workshop Manager.
- Oversee the operational management of warranty cases with warranty coordinator so as to ensure that the case is well handled
- and communicate technical support in case of a warranty or a problem that is difficult to solve
- Ensure the vehicle is diagnosed and repaired efficiently and in a professional manner according to the Service core processed
- standards.
- Provide necessary information regarding customers’ vehicles answer customer inquiries in alignment with related departments.
- Coordinate with the reception area for handling customer complaints if needed, through ensuring that the customer’s problems
- have been solved and that customer inconvenience complaints are dealt fairly and quickly.
- Review the performance of Functional Control Test with the final control on the customer’s vehicle in order to verify that that all the
- requested work by the customer has been done correctly.
- Accountable for safety of customers’ vehicles, workstation tools and equipment. Control the consumption of materials used in
- inspection and maintenance interventions.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment used in the workshop are correctly identified, stored and accessible for the personnel, in
- correct maintenance and use conditions, and that their calibration certificates are available, where applicable.
- Ensure quality controls and suitable testing methods and resources, following to the Service core processed instructions.
- Recruit, coach, and appraise team to ensure they are operating to full potential and ensure that team members are in line with
- organizational requirements.
- Maintain a high level of motivation and morale in the team, as well as ensure staff development, in order to achieve a high level
- of employee satisfaction, and thus high performance and productivity.
- Ensure conservation, order and cleanliness of their workplace and of the installations and equipment of the electromechanical
- workshop.
- Ensure that work in workshop area is in compliance with the current Health & Safety and Environment regulations.
- Bachelor degree of Mechanical Engineering, or any equivalent degree.
- Valid driver’s license holder.
- 6-8 experience in-service operation in a reputable dealership of which 2 years should be in a Managerial capacity.
- Proven experience in conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
