Accounting Manager | U.S. GAAP, Multi-Client Accounting & Financial Operations – Remote | LATAM

Location: Remote (LATAM)
Position Type: Full-Time, Remote
Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST
Compensation: $1,800–$4,000 USD/month — higher compensation may be available for exceptional candidates

About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring an experienced Accounting Manager to join a rapidly growing U.S.-based accounting and advisory firm founded by professionals with backgrounds in private equity and investment banking.

The firm partners with small and mid-sized U.S. businesses, helping owners make better financial decisions through accurate accounting, insightful reporting, and strong financial operations.

This is a high-ownership, client-facing role for an experienced accounting professional who can confidently manage multiple U.S.-based client accounts simultaneously.

You’ll take ownership of:

  • U.S. GAAP accounting
  • Multi-client month-end close
  • Financial reporting and analysis
  • AP, AR, and general ledger management
  • Payroll and sales tax compliance
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
  • Accounting process improvement
  • Direct communication with U.S. business owners

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting construction, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, home services, and other blue-collar or field-service businesses.

What You’ll Own

Multi-Client Accounting & Month-End Close

  • Own month-end close across multiple U.S.-based client accounts
  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting workpapers
  • Manage:
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • General Ledger activities
    • Account reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Ensure accounting deliverables are completed accurately and on time
  • Maintain clean, organized, and client-ready financial records

Payroll & Compliance

  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule
  • Manage employee onboarding within payroll systems
  • Work with platforms such as:
    • Gusto
    • ADP
    • Paylocity
  • Prepare and submit U.S. state sales tax filings
  • Track client-specific compliance requirements and deadlines
  • Maintain complete supporting documentation

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Build custom financial reports and dashboards for business owners
  • Analyze financial performance and identify:
    • Trends
    • Variances
    • Risks
    • Opportunities
  • Support:
    • Budgeting
    • Forecasting
    • Cash flow planning
  • Translate financial data into clear, actionable business insights
  • Help owners understand what their financial results mean for the business

Client Management & Advisory Support

  • Manage accounting operations across multiple clients simultaneously
  • Communicate directly with U.S. business owners
  • Explain accounting and financial concepts in clear, practical language
  • Respond proactively to client questions and financial issues
  • Build strong relationships through:

  • Operate as a trusted accounting partner rather than simply a transactional bookkeeper

Accounting Systems & Process Improvement

  • Review and document existing accounting processes
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements

  • Help create scalable systems as the firm grows

Founder & Leadership Collaboration

Requirements – Must Have

Experience

  • 5–10 years of accounting and finance experience
  • Experience managing accounting for multiple U.S.-based clients simultaneously
  • Strong understanding and practical application of U.S. GAAP
  • Full-cycle accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Month-end close
    • Financial reporting
    • AP/AR
    • General ledger accounting
    • Reconciliations
    • Payroll
    • U.S. sales tax
  • Experience supporting service-based or blue-collar businesses such as:
    • Construction
    • HVAC
    • Plumbing
    • Roofing
    • Landscaping
    • Home services
    • Field-service companies

Accounting Systems

Strong hands-on experience with:

  • QuickBooks Online – Required
  • QuickBooks Desktop / Enterprise – Required

Experience with AP and expense-management platforms such as:

  • Ramp
  • Bill.com

Experience with payroll platforms such as:

  • Gusto — preferred
  • ADP
  • Paylocity

Advanced Excel

Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency, including:
