This temporary position is located at 2000 Yonkers Road Raleigh, NC 27604 - Wake County, with Department of Public Safety - Controller's Office.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $28.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).  

Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification.  The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities listed within this vacancy announcement will be used only as management preferences and will be used to screen for the most qualified pool of applicants.

Job duties include, but may not be limited to:

Updating and maintaining financial records for leases, bank reconciliations, reconciliation of capital assists, recording journal entries on general ledger, as well as assisting with other duties in the financial reporting section.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or other curriculum that would provide a core curriculum in financial management coursework from an appropriately accredited institution; or Associate’s degree in accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of accounting or auditing experience; or

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four (4) years of experience as an accounting technician, three of which must have been at an advanced technical level or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
