The opportunity

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the design, development, documentation, testing and quality assurance of enterprise-wide data and analytics solutions. This position works closely with internal business teams, IT Functional Business Analysts and the BI Development Team, while ensuring compliance with established governance standards across the BI solutions portfolio. This position sits within the Information Technology Department, reporting to the Lead, Business Intelligence.

The role

• Analyze business data and deliver data management and analytics solutions using visualization tools such as Tableau, supporting key business functions including Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Finance.
• Translate business logic into SQL to support reporting and data analysis.
• Create technical specifications outlining data flows, transformation requirements, and related solution processes.
• Document solution designs, including architecture, scheduling, monitoring, maintenance, and support requirements.
• Conduct reviews, walkthroughs, and solution testing to ensure deliverables meet established SDLC and PMO guidelines.
• Participate in the development of company-wide data cleansing rules and provide post-implementation support, including availability on an as-needed basis to address business needs.

The requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a similar data-focused role.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, including writing and optimizing queries for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience building dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, and/or advanced Excel.
• Solid understanding of data management concepts, including data warehousing, data modeling, and transformation logic.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and translating business needs into technical solutions within an SDLC or project-based environment.
