What you’ll do 

We are looking for an ambitious and customer-focused Business Development Manager to join our Product Solutions Group (PSG) team in Adelaide.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and growing strategic opportunities across South Australia's government and commercial sectors. Working closely with customers, technology partners and internal specialists, you will build trusted relationships that deliver meaningful business outcomes while driving revenue growth and profitable market expansion.

You'll leverage Datacom's extensive portfolio of technology solutions and services to help customers solve complex challenges, guiding opportunities from initial engagement through to successful closure. Success in this role will be underpinned by your ability to understand customer priorities, navigate complex stakeholder environments and develop strong partner and vendor relationships.

What you’ll bring  

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Strong demonstrated experience working with customers to find the right solution for their needs, ensuring an excellent customer experience from quoting to ordering
  • Proven track record of responding to customer quote and other requests with urgency, exceptional attention to detail and genuine care for our customer needs
  • Willing to learn new technology and solutions we provide
  • Experience with major technology brands and the IT reseller supply process and channel
  • Ability to absorb, apply and communicate technical information to a diverse audience
  • Excellent customer and vendor relationship building and management skills
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Experience in using sales CRM for tracking opportunity progression through the sales cycle.
