About this role

Role Summary:
DCI Repair Technician is responsible for the dismantle, clean, inspection, assemble and test equipment mechanical seals meeting quality standards, company policies, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

- Fitter Trade with minimum 2 years relevant experience                                        

- Read and understand technical drawings

- Safe work mindset.
- Follow instructions given in checklists, routers, and procedures.

- Disassemble products to repair or replace defective materials or worn parts and other repairs, as necessary.

- Clean each part and documenting the condition.
- Operate abrasive blaster or other cleaning machine to clean seal parts.
- Inspect components and assemblies precisely and record the results of these inspections using various measuring tools.
- Take pictures to document seal/parts condition to create report in Microsoft excel.
- Exhibit behaviour that encourages teambuilding, decision-making, problem solving and continuous improvement.
- All the required tools will be provided.
- Able to stand for long periods and lift objects up to 23 kg.
- To be able to work overtime including weekends when required.

- Training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Other duties as assigned.

 

Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Basic manual lathe experience preferred.

- Experience in seal/pump industry is preferable.

-Forklift, Dogging licence is preferable.
