About this role

Mission

Neko is redefining what prevention means, from treating illness when it arrives, to sustaining health before it's ever at risk. Our mission: make data-driven, preventative care accessible to more people, before symptoms appear.

In a single, non-invasive visit under an hour, proprietary technology and direct clinical care combine to deliver personalised, actionable insights. It's a team that thinks in 10x, not 10%. Every role here plays a part in building a world where prevention is the norm, and where your work genuinely helps people live longer, healthier lives.

Role Purpose

Neko Health operates physical spaces that are unlike anything else in healthcare. Our clinics are designed to the standard of a flagship retail experience: every surface, every material, every interaction is considered. Members notice. They come back. They tell others. That standard does not happen by accident. It is the result of deliberate operational craft, applied daily, on the ground.

This is a multi-site role. Early on, that means standing up new locations across the country: vendor programs, preventive maintenance schedules, and construction handoff, wherever the next clinic opens. Over time, as the team grows, the role narrows to a defined region, likely 8 to 15 locations. Opening new clinics stays part of the job permanently, it just shifts to openings within that region.

What You'll Deliver in the First 6–12 Months

Site Operations

  • Stand up vendor programs and preventive maintenance schedules for new clinic locations as they are turned over from Construction.

  • Walk new sites with construction partners ahead of opening, confirming systems, equipment, and finishes are ready to hand off.

  • Manage vendor and contractor performance across multiple locations, holding each site to the same high standard.

  • Source and negotiate vendor contracts directly for some service categories, and execute against centrally negotiated agreements for others, across trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, elevators, fire and life safety, medical waste, routine waste, pest control, and security guards.

  • Conduct routine audits of open clinics to confirm they meet Neko brand standards.

  • Utilize a CMMS platform to track repairs and maintenance activity for all sites within a defined region.

  • Own the facilities budget for your portfolio and report on monthly spend: what was spent, why, and how it compares to plan.

  • Work directly with landlords and property managers at each site to stay compliant with lease terms.

  • Review and understand lease language on repairs and maintenance for every site in your portfolio, so responsibility for a given fix is clear before it becomes a dispute.

Hospitality & Emergency Response

  • Our clinic teams are our customer: respond to their facilities needs with the same care Neko asks them to bring to our members.

  • Act as point of escalation for facilities issues across the portfolio, resolving directly or routing to the correct service partner, landlord, or warranty holder.

  • Be available to support clinics through emergencies as they happen, including nights and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of hands-on facilities management experience across multiple sites, with direct responsibility for hard services, soft services, and health and safety.

  • Working technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems, enough to assess contractor work and make sound maintenance decisions without deferring every call.

  • Experience managing vendor and contractor relationships directly: sourcing and negotiating some contracts, and managing performance against agreements already in place for others.

  • Comfortable working with a CMMS or similar facilities platform for logging, tracking, and closing out work across many locations at once.

  • Practical experience with health and safety programs: inspections, incident response, and compliance with local and federal requirements.

  • Willing to travel 25–50% of the time to support new and existing clinics.

  • Strong proactive communication skills, able to work independently across a distributed portfolio

  • Be able to operate in a rapidly moving environment. This means wearing multiple hats for short periods of time as the business evolves.

  • Experience owning a facilities budget and reporting on monthly spend.

  • Experience working with landlords or property managers, including reading lease language closely enough to know who owns a given repair.

  • A genuine customer service mindset toward front line teams, and willingness to be available for site emergencies outside standard business hours, including nights and weekends.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in a scale-up, high-growth, or multi-site rollout environment where facilities processes had to be built and adapted quickly, not inherited.

  • Experience in premium retail, luxury hospitality, or consumer brand environments where physical standards are a direct expression of brand equity.

  • Relevant qualifications in facilities management, health and safety, or building services (OSHA certifications, IFMA, or equivalent).

  • Prior experience in a healthcare, clinical, or other regulated physical environment.
