About this role
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Conduct routine workplace safety and environmental inspections.
- Monitor PPE compliance and safe work practices.
- Maintain HSE records, registers, and documentation.
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action tracking.
- Coordinate HSE training, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
- Support emergency drills and safety awareness programmes.
- Assist with environmental monitoring and implementation of the Environmental Compliance Plan.
- Monitor HSE supplies, including PPE, first aid, and spill response equipment.
- Assist with HSE audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Prepare monthly HSE reports and other documentation as required.
- Any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- One (1)–Two (2) years' experience in health, safety, environmental, or a related role.
- Training in First Aid or Occupational Safety is an asset.
