Overview

Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is seeking to hire an HRIS Analyst. This position plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day health, testing, and configuration of the Company’s Workday HCM, Payroll and Time Tracking modules.

The HRIS Analyst is a member of the Workday support team, responsible for monitoring system alerts, executing test scenarios, loading data via EIBs, and performing configuration updates within Workday.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of hands-on Workday experience and is eager to grow their technical skill set while ensuring the accuracy, stability, and reliability of the Workday environment on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

System Monitoring & Support

  • Monitor daily Workday system alerts, integration errors, and business process exceptions
  • Triage issues and escalate as needed to appropriate teams or Workday support
  • Track recurring issues and flag trends for process or configuration improvement
  • Respond to end-user questions related to Workday functionality

Testing

  • Conduct functional and regression testing for Workday releases, patches, and updates
  • Develop and execute test scripts for HCM, Payroll and Time Tracking configuration changes
  • Document test results and defects, and coordinate retesting with stakeholders
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) for new features and enhancements

EIBs & Data Management

  • Build, load, and validate Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) files for mass data changes
  • Ensure data integrity before and after EIB loads
  • Troubleshoot EIB errors and coordinate corrections with HR and Payroll partners
  • Maintain documentation of EIB templates and load processes

Configuration

  • Perform configuration updates within Workday modules
  • Support business process configuration, including condition rules and notifications
  • Assist with configuration changes tied to organizational changes, such as:
    • Supervisory organizations
    • Job profiles and compensation elements
    • Time off and absence plans
  • Document configuration changes in accordance with change management standards
  • Support tenant maintenance activities during Workday's bi-annual release cycles

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2–5 years of hands-on Workday experience
  • Working knowledge of Workday HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking modules
  • Experience building and loading EIBs
  • Experience with test planning and execution
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Workday Pro Certification(s) in any HCM or Payroll modules
  • Experience with Workday report writing (Advanced/Matrix reports)
  • Experience in a large, multi-location organization
