About this role

Does working for 150+ million children of Bharat excite you?
Then this opportunity is for you!

About us:
ConveGenius is an impact-first organisation, building platforms and systems for public education and skilling at population scale. We work closely with governments, ecosystem partners, social enterprises, philanthropies and individual & institutional investors, with a goal to deliver the highest return on investment across offerings that improve learning, teaching, and governance.
Unlike traditional ed-tech companies that deliver content, we build infrastructure platforms that integrate deeply into public delivery systems, while enabling our partners to scale their missions with measurable results. Today, we operate across 22+ Indian states, trusted by governments and institutional investors alike, for aligning policy priorities with last mile impact. What started with belief and hope 13 years ago is now backed by evidence.
Our offerings include
  • SwiftChat (the platform on which we build with ecosystem partners)
  • SwiftPAL - validated by a two-year RCT led by Nobel laureate Prof. Michael Kremer (Development Innovation Lab, University of Chicago), whose team found students gained "almost an additional 2 years of extra learning" in just 17 months
  • Swiftee (the AI learning tutor built for Bharat).
Our team comprises of thinkers, builders, innovators, and doers who show up every day with a strong action bias to build for Bharat.

About the role:
You will build hands-on robotics and electronics projects and convert them into beginner-friendly manuals that teachers and students can actually follow. This is a hands-on role focused on making builds reliable, repeatable, and easy to troubleshoot in real classroom conditions.
Your work will combine three things:
  • Building and validating projects end-to-end
  • Documenting each step with clean, consistent photos
  • Writing practical troubleshooting that solves common failure cases fast
  • You will collaborate with lesson and manual designers so your build steps align with the learning flow.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Build and validate projects
  • Assemble robotics and electronics builds using common components used in school labs.
  • Run each build multiple times to confirm it works reliably, not just once.
  • Maintain a simple validation checklist so projects hold up in a classroom setting.
  1. Create step-by-step photo manuals
  • Capture clear photos for each build step (wiring, orientation, connections, safety).
  • Keep photos consistent so learners can match what they see to what they are building.
  • Organize assets with clean file naming and version updates.
  1. Create troubleshooting guides based on real failure cases
  • Identify common learner mistakes and failure patterns.
  • Recreate mistakes intentionally and capture what goes wrong.
  • Write fixes in a simple format: symptom, likely cause, quick fix.
  1. Support clarity and safety
  • Add short notes explaining what a component is doing and what students should observe.
  • Include basic safety callouts in student-friendly language.
  • Suggest simple checks students can do before asking for help.
  1. Collaborate and iterate
  • Work closely with learning design and content reviewers to align build steps with lesson flow.
  • Accept feedback and revise documentation quickly.
  • Share short build status updates so the team knows what is ready and what is blocked.
  1. Use AI tools responsibly
  • Use AI to draft troubleshooting text, check clarity, and generate checklists.
  • Verify everything by testing and ensuring the documentation matches reality.

Qualifications:
  • Education: B.Tech/B.E. graduate or final-year student
  • Specialization: Computer Science (CS), Electronics, or related engineering disciplines

Must-have skills:
  • Hands-on comfort with robotics and basic electronics used in school lab projects.
  • Confidence working with breadboards, wiring, resistors, LEDs, sensors, basic actuators, and power handling basics.
  • Calm, systematic debugging when something fails.
  • Close attention to detail in wiring, steps, and documentation.
  • Ability to take clear process photos that show orientation and connections.
  • Comfort using AI tools with discipline to verify and correct outputs.

Preferred skills:
  • Personal or club project portfolio with build photos or videos.
  • Ability to create simple diagrams or markups to highlight key parts.
  • Awareness of school lab constraints (time, missing parts, repeated handling).
  • Used ChatGPT Codex/Claude Code or other AI tools to create interactive modules/apps/games/htmls
  • A student can complete the physical and digital build with minimal help.
  • Photos are clear, consistent, and focus on the details that matter.
  • Troubleshooting resolves common failures quickly.
  • Builds are stable enough for repeated classroom use.
  • Documentation is clean, reusable, and easy for others to maintain.

How to Apply:
Please share your personal/college project/competition/hackathon details to stand out from the crowd through this link
  • Resume
  • Links to your projects (photos, videos, write-ups, or GitHub)
