The Junior Finance Executive is responsible for supporting the Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily financial transactions, assisting with month-end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Financial Operations
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and record journal entries.
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monitor cash receipts and payments.
- Assist in managing petty cash and employee reimbursements.
Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare schedules and reports for management review.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
Compliance & Tax
- Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and statutory reports.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and internal financial controls.
- Maintain proper filing of accounting and tax documents.
- Support external and internal audit requirements by preparing requested documentation.
Accounts Receivable & Payables
- Monitor customer collections and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Reconcile customer and supplier statements.
General Support
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support process improvement initiatives within the Finance department.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders on finance-related matters.
- Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by management
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field. Preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; up to 2 years of relevant experience is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
