Position Description:

The position of Manager of Student Admissions will be charged with increasing the number of adult learners pursuing higher education at U of L  and promoting the many routes available for adults to come to UofL to complete a degree, to gain job-focused certifications and stackable credentials, or to begin a bachelor’s degree.  The Manager of Student Admissions will be tasked with coordinating many efforts the university already has in place to recruit and support adult students and will seek efficiencies and new opportunities. The Manager of Student Admissions will work with U of L corporate partners and other employers in the greater Louisville area to market UofL's adult learner offerings. Position will supervise admissions counselor and review applications. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to recruit and assist adult students be successful in collaboration with related units, including marketing and development of scholarship programs/opportunities for adults.  

  • Lead Comeback Cards initiative. Conduct outreach to adult students and track their progress from recruitment to graduation.

  • Support corporate partnership by promoting UofL education benefits and access to UofL programs through education fairs, open houses, and campus visit programs.

  • Partner with academic units to develop transfer pathways for adult students to earn degrees and credentials aligned with UofL's mission. Share and promote adult learner needs and best practices with units.

  • Analyze UofL's adult learner data to ensure adult learner initiatives are meeting established metrics. Produce reports and presentations for stakeholders.

  • Create and manage overall strategies for the recruitment of stop-out students and degree completers  in partnership with academic units and the Student Success Center.

  • Supervise full time admissions counselor.   

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
